Scenic Sundays: A Walk Through Time

Come celebrate World Environmental Day with a walk through time at Scenic Drive.

Take a leisurely walk up the west side of Scenic Drive with short educational talks on plants, landslides, fossils, and regional geology by Dr. Eric Kappus of Southwest University. You will see the world's largest corals, largest snail, largest nautiloid, and largest single-celled organism. These are famous fossils known from El Paso to Nova Scotia! 

Your walk will be one mile round trip.

Skill Level: Beginner level with a moderate optional ending (a hike up to the ridge above Scenic Point) 

Wear sturdy shoes, appropriate attire, and a hat. Bring water.

Meet at the intersection of Robinson, Rim, and Scenic Drive on the west side. There is limited parking, with more parking down Rim Road.  (MAP)
