Currently serving as Board Member-at-large of Frontera Land Alliance, Doug also serves on Frontera’s Executive Committee, Board Development Committee, Lands Committee, and chairs the Water Rights Ad Hoc Committee. He served as Frontera’s president in 2008. He is a retired environmental protection specialist with the United States Section, International Boundary and Water Commission, having served for 27 years following 4 years in the Air Force. Doug has a B.S. and an M.S. in biological sciences from UTEP. He also serves as a vice president of the Coronado Neighborhood Association and has served on the City of El Paso’s Open Space Citizens Advisory Group (CAG) and Storm Water CAG. Doug has a lifelong passion for environmental protection instilled in him as a youngster when he visited and worked on his grandparents’ Hill Country ranch.
